Final Fantasy XIV turns seven. Each year, we celebrate the game’s birthday with an event called The Rising. The name holds a special meaning. As you may or may not know, the original Final Fantasy XIV launched in 2010. Unfortunately, it was so bad that the people in charge decided to shut it down and rework it.
Second time’s the charm because when Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn launched in 2013, it was extremely well received by players and critics. Seven years later, the game is still going strong. We’ve had three expansions so far that brought a lot of content. Starting August 27th, the day of the second launch, and ending September 14th we celebrate The Rising.
Final Fantasy XIV adventurers are invited to take a break from their usual activities and head to Ul’dah. Go to the Steps of Nald and look for the NPC called J’Bhen Tia. You will notice that the city is filled with colors during this time of the year. J’Bhen Tia brings a stained glass display that honors important past moments.
By now, you are accustomed to things in Eorzea not going as planned. You will need to assist Tia and to make sure that nothing gets in the way of the exposition. You need to be level 15 to complete the event quests.
As a reward for completing the seasonal quest, you will receive two items. You get to add the Wind-Up Ardbert minion to your collection. Decorate your house with The Sultana’s Seven wall-mounted item. If you’ve missed the event in the past, you will be glad to know that the event vendor has items that were available during the last years’ The Rising event.
The event is a perfect occasion to convince a friend to give the game a go. Free trial players can take part in the event too. The free trial was improved with higher level caps and more content. The Rising may not offer much content but Patch 5.3 just dropped bringing lots of new activities.
We have new main scenario quests and also new Chronicles of a New Era quests. Side story quests, Dwarf tribe quests, and Beast tribe dailies are also part of the game. You will be glad to know that you can use your flying mount in A Realm Reborn zones. The New Game+ has more chapters. The Heroes’ Gauntlet is a new level 80 dungeon. More trials, a new alliance raid, and more duties are also available.
If these great events cannot please you, then you shall take a look at U7BUY’s deal for Final Fantast XIV gil!
