Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers follows in the footsteps of the main game and the other expansions and brings a new alliance raid. The Copied Factory is a 24-man raid for level 80 players. Three parties of one tank, two healers, and five DPS players will join together and try to defeat the bosses. An alliance raid has many bosses so don’t expect to be fast.
Players have 120 minutes to complete the raid. Each boss has mechanics and it’s advisable that you watch a tactics video before you enter the raid. DPS players have longer queue times so they can sign up in the duty finder and watch the video meanwhile. If you didn’t watch the video, let the raid know of this. You will get some instructions regarding the fights. These instructions will not just help you remain alive but might save the raid a wipe.
The Copied Factory is the first part of YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raid series. This raid is a crossover with NieR: Automata, a hack and slash RPG from Square Enix. The people who worked on NieR, including the famous Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito, joined the Final Fantasy XIV team in creating this new raid.
To unlock the raid, you need to finish the main Shadowbringers scenario. Other game features depend on the completion of the story so it’s a good idea to do that anyway if you haven’t by now. After you complete the main scenario, go to Kholusia and look for the Gossipy Dwarf. This NPC will give you the quest that unlocks the raid. You should also keep in mind that you need 435 item level to enter the raid. You can get equipment by doing duties, trials, and the 8-man raids.
The raid is located in Norvrandt. You will meet well-known characters from NieR: Automata. Androids 2P and 9S make an appearance. Dwarf twins Anogg and Konogg play an important part. You will also meet some mysterious machine lifeforms. The raid has six objectives and four bosses. The first three bosses drop tokens that are used to get item level 460 gear. In addition to gear, the last boss drops orchestrion rolls, minions, cosmetics, a Tripe Triad card, and several other items. Completing the raid will reward you with 100 Goetia and 20 Phantasmagoria tomestones.
